Applying for a home

You can apply for a home with Parkway Green and many other local landlords on just one form
Parkway Green is one of a group of not-for-profit landlords who run the 'Manchester Housing Register'. This is a list of people looking for a home in the city with any of those landlords.
When you join the list, all the landlords in the Manchester Housing Register usually get your details. Or you can choose to look for homes run by certain landlords only.
How do I start?
If you are NOT a Parkway Green tenant:
-
fill in an online application form on the Homefinder website. Homefinder is an online listing of homes available from not-for-profit landlords in Manchester
or phone us on 0300 111 0000 for a form
or call in at one of our local offices.
If you need help with the form, contact us to make an appointment. We will help you fill it in.
If you ARE already a Parkway Green tenant:
contact us to make an appointment for someone to visit you
we will discuss your application and check that your home is in good condition.
If your home is in poor condition you owe us money (and aren’t sticking to an agreement to repay the debt) or we’re taking legal action against you, we may not consider your application until you have put things right.
What happens next?
When we get your application we will:
put it onto the Manchester Housing Register
put you into one of three priority rehousing categories – the higher your priority, the more chance you have of a home
write to you to confirm your rehousing category and your ‘queue date’ – the earlier your queue date, the more chance you have
tell you how to bids for homes on Homefinder .
We’ll write to you every six months to ask you if you want to stay on the register.
