Representatives from HT Forrest, The Transition Project and pupils from Baguley Hall School head into the woods.

Parkway Green Housing Trust continues to promote community initiatives as part of its commitment to support the West Wythenshawe area.

For its latest venture, staff headed into the woods to build bird boxes with local children from Baguley Hall School.

Partner contractor, HT Forrest, currently involved in Parkway Green's home Improvement Programme, kindly donated a supply of wood for the construction of the boxes in Wythenshawe Park.

The event was facilitated by the Transition Project which was formed three years ago to work with three cluster schools at junior level to help improve the integration of pupils into secondary school.

Project Manager Phillipa Lloyd said, "These initiatives promote common ground amongst the children which could hopefully help reduce bullying, encourage respect and improve the local environment".

Parkway Green is committed to developing and supporting links within the community between schools, agencies, businesses and partners for the benefit of all the residents of the West Wythenshawe area.
