Staff from Parkway Green Housing Trust have made the first donation of £566 to their nominated local charity in the West Wythenshawe area, Wythenshawe Women's Aid.

The substantial total collected has been reached since our establishment after transfer in October 2006 and is made up staff contributions for things like the monthly 'dress down day', donations for the weekly provision of fresh fruit for all staff and the raffle of a football signed by Manchester United players at the Staff Conference in May this year.

Helen Watson from Wythenshawe Women's Aid (WWA) said, "We are absolutely delighted to receive this donation and really grateful to the Parkway Green staff who have chosen us as their local nominated charity. We have immediate plans for the money which include possible improvements to security, the repair of some of the children's play equipment and the renewal of some of our kitchen appliances. This unexpected cash will make big difference".
