Real Lives. Wythenshawe

Wythenshawe is a good place to live and work. The Real Lives campaign challenges old-fashioned views and shows the real picture with real Wythenshawe people.

Parkway Green Van

On the move: our vans are spreading the word about real lives in Wythenshawe.

We're right behind the campaign. The 38 vans in our repairs and maintenance service, all emblazoned with giant-sized colour images, are proof-on-wheels of our support!

The campaign is about replacing negative and outdated perceptions of Wythenshawe with positive images, messages, facts and figures that promote the really good things about the area and the people who live here.

Home improvement

More than £600million of investment has come into Wythenshawe in the past 10 years. Newall Green and St Paul’s schools, for instance, have been rebuilt to provide twenty-first century facilities. Similar work starts on Brookway school in April 2009. We're playing our part with our multi-million pound home improvement programme and our spending on the environment and our communities.

"The vans look fantastic," says our chief executive, Nigel Wilson. "We're more than happy to show our support for the Real Lives campaign; the more people we can tell about it the better!”
