Parkway Green win national award

Parkway Green was delighted to win at the 2012 National Housing Maintenance Forum Awards (NHMF).
The Trust won the ‘Best In-House Repairs Team’ category at the awards in Stratford which take place every year to recognise best practice in maintenance within social housing.
One aspect of the winning entry focused on Parkway Green’s PG Gateway project which it is currently completing in partnership with regeneration consortium, Procure Plus. The programme sees students from local schools spend three days per week during term time in school, and the remaining two days working with Parkway Green’s fencing team learning transferable skills such as time management, communication and reliability, which will ultimately help prepare them for the world of work.
It also won the Gold Award in the ‘Best Gas Service Provider’ category, along with the top three places in the Gas Servicing Individual Technicians Award and was singled out for the meticulous and diligent work of its operatives.
Operational Manager at Parkway Green, Mike Richmond, said: “We’re over the moon to win this award, as it’s national recognition that we are doing the very best we can for our customers. I have to thank the team for all their hard work as the benchmark has been raised, we will continue to strive for excellence and see if we can win it two years in a row.”
Chief Executive of Parkway Green, Nigel Wilson, said: “This is a fantastic achievement and I’m delighted that the hard work of our repairs teams has been recognised nationally. Congratulations to all the hard work of team.”
