New Health Academy

We’re happy to tell you about a new local project that offers the latest sports, leisure and community facilities.
From old to new
Based on the old Brookway High School site, the new Manchester Health Academy provides a range of community facilities, including a school, library, gym, internet café, football pitches and tennis courts. There’s also meeting rooms and conference spaces for local projects and community groups. Plus there’ll be coaching and classes for all ages.
Supporting the community
Paul Barrett, Sports Development Manager at the Manchester Health Academy, said: “The facility belongs to the local people, all of all ages, and we want them to take ownership of it – telling us what activities and classes they would like to see happening here, and then we will try to provide them with what they want.” He was also keen to point out that the Academy is supported by the Manchester United Foundation.
