Children with Father Christmas
staff cleaning overgrown stream

Presents and future: Children at Wythenshawe hospital enjoy the results of Connaughts fundraising (top), while it’s all hands to the pump to clear up a local stream.

The massive home improvements programme we’re doing with our building company partners is just one side of the Parkway Green story.

We’re not just about bricks and mortar – we’re just as committed to local communities, the people who live in them, and the environment around. It’s all part of our ‘People and Places’ approach to regenerating your area.

Here are two more examples of how our partnerships are contributing to the local community.

Festive fundraising

Throughout December staff from Connaughts rallied round to sell raffle tickets to raise money to support the Starlight children’s ward at Wythenshawe Hospital. The festive fundraiser gathered £190 and a sack full of presents for the kids.

Our principal technical officer Gaynor Whiteley was there when the goodies were handed over. “It was great to see the children’s faces light up,” she smiled. “We’ll always support the local community with events like this”.

Getting our hands dirty

Meanwhile we’ve been getting our hands dirty with staff from Connaughts, Bramalls, and HT Forrest, cleaning up an overgrown stream near Bideford Drive in Baguley.

The event was organised by our Legacy Group – made up of our own staff and reps from the building company partners – that promotes projects to bring lasting benefits to Parkway Green people.
