PGHT improving your environment

Parkway Green’s £9million environmental programme has officially been closed by local MP for Wythenshawe & Sale East, Paul Goggins and Chair of the PGHT Board, Cllr Tony Burns.
The programme was part of the Housing Trust’s £100million environmental improvement programme, which has added off-road and frontage parking facilities and front boundary treatments to 2000 homes across West Wythenshawe over the past year
Mr and Mrs Stone, of the Royal Oak estate, said: “We’re delighted with our new frontage Parking. It’s really made a big difference to our lives!”
Chair of the Parkway Green Board, Councillor Tony Burns, said: “Parking has always been a major issue for our customers on our estates and by rolling out this programme we are doing what we can to help the situation. The scheme has been a massive success and we are delighted that Paul Goggins MP has been able to come down and celebrate with us what’s been achieved. We would have loved to do more work but the funding has been halted.”
Paul Goggins MP, said: “I am delighted to join the tenants and staff of Parkway Green in marking the completion of this programme. I was present just under a year ago at the launch and it’s impressive to see the huge difference that has been made to the local area during that time.”
