Parkway Green Mile
And their off!
Over 170 primary school children recently raised more than hundreds of pounds at Wythenshawe Athletic Track with a community fun run.
Everyone’s a winner
Over 170 year six pupils from five local schools took part in the race. Taking part meant they could raise money for their school’s chosen charity and receive a green mile medal at the end.
Cheering for the community
The Parkway Green Mile is also just one of the community events that we’re very happy to be joining and supporting. Our Regeneration Officer, David Thorncroft, helped to organise the event, and was very happy with the result. ‘We were delighted with how the local schools got behind, and supported, the event,’ he said. ‘The kids really enjoyed the day and a massive thank you to everyone who was involved in making in Parkway Green Mile such a huge success.’
Keep on running
The Green Mile idea came from our 2008 staff conference. And we’re hoping for more. If you’ve got an idea of how we could bring the community together, while raising some money for charity, please give our Tenant Liaison Officer Pedro a call on 0161 946 6315
