Got talent?

Then get practising! And get your applications in for the next Wythenshawe’s Got Talent.
Back by popular demand, it promises to be even bigger and better than last year. And just like last year, we need you, the people of Wythenshawe, to get involved.
Who can enter
Magicians, singers, and dance troupes. Even Elvis impersonators! If you’ve got talent, we want to hear from you. The only condition: you must live or work in an M22 or M23 postcode.
How to apply
There are three categories: ‘under 11s’, ‘12 to 17’ and ‘adults’. Just choose your category and pick up a registration pack from one of our offices, one of the Willow Park Housing Trust Offices, Benchill Community Centre, Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre or the Royal Oak Community Centre. You can also download one from the Wythenshawe's got talent website. Once you’ve completed your registration details, you need to return it to any of the above by Friday 25 September 2009.
October auditions
Auditions will take place at the Wythenshawe Forum on Saturday 10 October, in front of a judging panel. The successful acts from each category will perform in front of the public at a grand final on Saturday 7 November at the Forum.
A celebration of Wythenshawe
One of the event’s organisers, Pat Higson, believes that last year’s event was a great success, ‘not just because of the number of talented individuals who came forward and took part, but also because of all the people of Wythenshawe who really got behind the competition.’ Pat also believes that this year’s event ‘will definitely be bigger and better’. So book your tickets today! Tickets cost £6 for adults and £4 for concessions. A family ticket (two adults, 2 concessions) costs £14.
