Parkway Green gardening contest 3 August 2007

Calling all green-fingered tenants! We've got £1,500 to give away to 12 prize-winning gardeners. You don't even need a garden - there's a category for balcony, container and patio displays.

We're looking for a bright, colourful display using your own ideas and design. Make the best use of your space and get extra points for environmental awareness features like composters, water butts and wormeries. Peat-based products are bad news for the environment, so there'll be extra points if you use alternatives.

Categories and cash prizes

  • Best garden: 1st Prize £250, 2nd Prize £125
  • Balcony, container or patio: 1st Prize £150, 2nd Prize £100
  • Communal garden: 1st Prize £150, 2nd Prize £100
  • Homeowners & leaseholders: 1st Prize £150, 2nd Prize £100
  • Young gardener: 1st Prize £100, 2nd Prize £75
  • Tenants association nomination: 1st Prize £150, 2nd Prize £100
