Local youngsters get stuck into work experience

We've been giving local young people the chance to get a taste of working life.

A group of 14 - and 15-year-olds from Newall Green High School joined us for a week in November 2007 to help with our day-to-day jobs, running the housing service and looking after estates.

Getting stuck In

Michael Griffiths, Jack Rhodes, Stephen Wray and Joseph Sherratt impressed our Human Resources assistant Aline Almeida with their enthusiasm for learning about what we do. "They spent their week with us surveying, working on accounts and getting stuck in with our staff out and about on the estates," she said.

It's good to know that the next generation of Parkway Green residents is well on the way to getting the skills and taste for hard work that will help build a strong community.
