Talking 'bout our regeneration: all smiles during a break in the tenants'
conference.
More than 40 people came to Parkway Green House in Northenden for our first-birthday tenants' annual conference on Wednesday 31 October 2007.
They enjoyed presentations by speakers from other housing organisations
who helped us explore the theme of 'Regenerating West Wythenshawe' -
including representatives from:
Community Gateway Association
Castle Vale Community Housing Association
Community Seven Housing Association
We saw how a local housing company can play a key role in regeneration projects that benefit all members of the community. Look out for a special new section of this website coming soon - 'Faces and Places' - all about the exciting ways we're building thriving local communities with brighter futures, more job opportunities, and better estates and facilities. See how we're helping make Parkway Green the place where people choose to live, and want to stay.
Tenants at the conference checked out an impressive display of the gleaming new kitchens, bathrooms, doors and windows we're fitting in every Parkway Green home over the next few years. We're well on our way to meeting the promises we made in the run-up to the transfer from Manchester City Council - we've finished more than 2,000 improvements already!
Have we come to your home yet? If not, find out when you'll enjoy all the benefits - see Home improvements online.
Chief executive, Nigel Wilson said: "It was good to have tenants at the heart of our birthday celebrations, and to hear about positive experiences here in Parkway Green, and in similar organisations elsewhere. This way we all benefit and learn from each other."
