Welcome to Northenden

Northenden is about seven miles south of the City centre. It is south of M60 motorway and east of Princess Parkway - so there's good access to Manchester Airport and the motorway network to other areas of south Manchester and Cheshire.
Living in Northenden
Northenden village is a thriving centre, with a good range of shops, bars, restaurants and banks. There is a library, post office, and other amenities. There is excellent public transport with regular buses to the city centre, the airport and other parts of south Manchester. Didsbury village, with its extensive shopping and leisure facilities, is about a mile and a half away.
Wythenshawe park - one of the biggest and best in the city - is just over Princess Parkway. There's a horticultural centre, pets corner, crazy golf, horse riding, bowling greens, pitch and putt, tennis courts, an athletics track, football pitches and much more. There are playing fields, open meadows and walks throughout the Mersey Valley (on the other side of the motorway, reached by footpath). The walk to Didsbury goes through one of three local golf courses.
