Newall Green is about eight miles south of the city centre. It is between the M56 motorway and Wythenshawe hospital, south of Hollyhedge Road. There's good access to the motorway network, Manchester Airport and other areas of south Manchester and Cheshire.
Living in Newall Green
There is a small shopping parade on Greenbrow Road, and a large Tesco supermarket on Altrincham Road about a mile away. Timperley Village shopping centre is just over a mile away, and there is a shopping centre, food hall and market at Wythenshawe civic centre on the other side of the motorway. There are regular buses from the city centre to the hospital, although public transport is not so accessible away from main roads.
It's a mile or so to Wythenshawe Forum. The Forum centre is a modern, welcoming, safe and accessible building at the heart of community life - the place to come for leisure, learning and childcare. It has indoor leisure facilities including a swimming pool, gym, sports hall and fitness centre. There's a health centre, children's nursery, and a job centre.
There is farmland and walks in the Cheshire countryside south of the area.

There are 1,300 Parkway Green homes here - most of them were built in the 1950s. Nearly 1,000 of them are two or three bedroom houses. There are also 300 flats in small blocks and 100 bungalows.
