Investment projects
What happens when it's your turn?
We promised we would start to make a difference to the Parkway Green area as soon as we became the new landlord, and we didn't hang about!
Cyclical painting programme
When and where
We’ve split Parkway Green housing stock into 10 neighbourhood areas - find out when we are coming to your areas - go to painting programme.
When it's your turn, we'll visit you at home to explain exactly what will happen. You'll get plenty of information about what's going to be done, how long it will take, who's doing it and how to contact them.
Environmental programme
When & where
Priority areas have been identified in 2009 by consultants in each of the 10 neighbourhood areas.
If your home was included in a priority area, we wrote to you in advance to invite you to an open day where to meet the Investment Team and the contractor carrying out the work and agreed the design for your home.
Future programme works
Now that our decent homes investment is complete, we have formulated a new planned works programme for the next five years. These works will include:
Boiler replacement programme - We are currently replacing old inefficient boilers with new energy efficient models.
Re-roofing programme - We are currently renewing/repairing roofs in the Brooklands and Northenden areas.
Communal areas - Following our recent communal area refurbishment programme to three story walk up flats, we are planning to carry out similar work to the remaining 61 communal areas.
Painting programme – There is currently a painting programme to 1281 homes with George Jones where some joinery items will be replaced and painting carried out to external elements of the home.
Window Replacement Scheme - This scheme is being carried out by Jackson & Jackson and replaces old PVC frames installed pre-transfer from Manchester City Council so we can keep up to date with the latest specification and designs.
We will always write to you in advance of any work being carried out to ensure you know what will happen as part of the work, when it will take place, who will be doing the work and how you can contact them.
If in doubt, keep them out
Don't let anyone into your home without asking to see an identity badge with their photo on. All our building companies and Parkway Green staff carry ID, and won't mind being asked to wait while you check it. If in doubt, ring the number on the back of the badge.
How was it for you?
We want to get things right every time. But, with 6,000 homes to do, there are bound to be some hiccups. When we finish the work on your home we'll leave a customer-satisfaction form. Tell us how you think it went, and if we could do things differently. We'll use your comments to shape future improvements - and tell you how in our regular newsletter.
