Respect Baguley!

The campaign is about respect and community
A six-week campaign is tackling antisocial behaviour in Baguley. The ‘Respect Action Neighbourhood’ was launched on 17 January 2009 with a fun day at Baguley Hall Primary School.
The campaign is a partnership between Parkway Green, the police, Manchester City Council and other organisations that want to see a safe and stable community in Baguley.
Concerns and suggestions
If you live in Baguley, look out for people from the campaign coming to your door to ask you about antisocial behaviour problems in your area and how we can tackle them. There’ll be more staff out and about on the streets too. Please talk to them about your concerns and suggestions.
The launch fun day helped to raise the campaign’s profile. The serious message about building respect in the community was combined with football tournaments, Nintendo Wii competitions, car and mini-moto crushing, and dancers from the Malaylee community. It was all captured by a live broadcast on local radio station Wythenshawe FM.
