Noise Problems

One of the main sources of neighbour complaints is noise. You do not have to put up with persistent, unreasonable noise - at any time during the day or night. Here's what to do if noise is causing you a problem.

Noise from another home

This could be constantly barking dogs, loud music or television or shouting, If the noise is caused by a neighbour and you cannot resolve the problem,report antisocial behaviour.

Noise in the street

If the noise is caused by fighting, brawling or offensive drunkenness, contact Greater Manchester Police (external site) on 0161 872 5050.

Other noise

If the noise is from a pub or club, commercial premises, a building site or roadworks, contact Manchester City Council
